Although `DEVlANT joined our community only a year ago, he's made sure to make his mark in as many ways as possible. You can't criticize what you don't understand, your sons and daughters are beyond your command.

Not only does the photograph convey the idea of metal, but it also shows an individual passionate about what he is doing. Also, the photo didn't really fall under any other dA category: it's not a fetish, it's not a portrait, it's not particularly glamorous, and is most certainly not a nude. By process of elimination, I had to go with "emotive."
